Violent & Volume Crime

The Violent and Volume Crime agenda covers a wide range of crimes.  Many of these are covered within the Safer Portsmouth Partnership’s (SPP) Community Safety Strategy. You can download the Violent Crime Delivery Plan 2008-2009 here.

The key objectives in the strategy relating to this area are:

  • Reduce violence linked to licensed premises (Objective 2)
  • Reduce levels of domestic violence and abuse and support victims (Objective 3)
  • Reduce levels of racial harassment and support victims (Objective 4)

The SPP Violent and Volume Crime Champion is David Peacock, Chief Superintendent, Hampshire Constabulary.  David is responsible for ensuring that the Violent and Volume Crime objectives and agenda is fulfilled.
