There are many services available in Portsmouth to help those experiencing alcohol problems.

Alcohol Counselling (Adults):

Free, confidential counselling for alcohol problems is available from Portsmouth Counselling Service.

To benefit from this service call 023 9273 5836 (between 6pm and 9pm, Monday to Friday)

Family & Carers Support:

Rebound - Effected by someone close to you with drink / substance misuse problems, then for further information see opposite or call 078 3394 1145

There are a number of groups held locally, call the national number above for further information. Members will share their experiences and help other group members to recover from alcohol dependence and maintain sobriety.

Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking.
Alateen is for teenage relatives and friends who have or are being affected by someone else’s drinking. Alateen meetings are attended by 12-17 year olds.
