Boost works with young people who are either being looked after by the local authority or who are about to leave care up to the age of 25 years. The project aims to provide a 'boost' to their independent living skills and to improve their life chances. This work also covers support to young people aged 16+ years who are Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.

There are four youth centres open to everyone in Portsmouth and a part-time youth club especially for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. All are free to attend and on a voluntary basis - you can come and go as you please! The target age is 11 to 19 years, but other ages are welcome.
There are 9 skate parks in Portsmouth for skaters and BMX riders. All are FREE and suitable for beginners upwards. They complement the international standard ramp available at Southsea Skate Park.
Portsmouth City Council run a range of FREE out of school clubs for children on an open access basis - kids are free to come and go as they please. They are aimed at children aged 5 - 12 years.
We provide a range of FREE activities where participants are supported into positive opportunities which aim to increase confidence, the enjoyment of learning and achieving, healthy living, employability, citizenship and most importantly respect for the local community.
We offer a free, confidential, friendly service, offering information, support and counselling for young people. The service is available to anyone aged 11-25 years who needs to talk to some in confidence who lives in Portsmouth, Havant or the surrounding areas.
